Qatari businessman seals $44m Malaga deal











Qatari businessman Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser al-Thani has become the owner of Spanish La Liga club Malaga after sealing a $44m deal.

“It’s a proud moment for me personally and for Qatar,” he told reporters. “I am overjoyed to be involved in one of the best leagues in the world.”

The chairman of Nasser bin Abdullah and Sons Group will have 100 percent ownership of the club which finished 17th in the Spanish league last season, Gulf Times reported on Sunday.
